We're back!

Hi dripreader's!

You might have noticed we are back :-)

It's been a while offline, but I thought it's about time we got the old dripread engine back in motion.

Let me know if you have any problems or suggestions.

Lets see where this takes us.

Thanks
Pete

Back in action

Hi dripreaders,

Email is working again now. You should have received a few backed up dripread emails from the past week or so. Please only use the  'Done Reading' links in the recent emails as the old ones will no longer work. Let me know if you have any problems.

Thanks
Pete

Site Technical Problems

Hi Everyone,

Very sorry but I am having some technical problems with the recent migration on Google's back end cloud service.

Your current email installments have our of date links for 'Done Reading' which is causing an error 500 page to be displayed.

I'm hoping to get this fixed within the next few days so please bear with me.

You should receive a reading reminder email in a few days which should allow you to click 'Done Reading' successfully

Thanks for your patience
Pete

Dripread any webpage!

Now you can dripread any webpage aswell as your own ebooks. Simply enter the URL of the page you wish to read and dripread will break the page up into 5 minute readable chunks and email them to you daily.

Great for long webpage articles that your don't have time to read right away.

try it out at http://www.dripread.com/webPageFetch

New Dripread website is now live

The old Dripread site was looking, how shall we put it, slightly crap. So we decided to redesign the Dripread website experience.

Books can now be browsed by category or by title, which should make it easier to identify books you're interested in.

There's also a news feed section on the right hand side, which highlights the latest reads and the soon the most popular.

We also promoted the Upload Book feature of Dripread to allow readers to Dripread their own books, rather than being limited to the public domain texts already available. Hopefully this will also encourage readers to create and share content for others to enjoy. Any ideas for books?

Finally we're looking to add a review feature for each book, so readers can recomend (or not) the reading experience.

We'd love to hear your comments, ideas for improvements or problems. Please send an email to help@dripread.com

thanks

Open Univeristy - Openlearn content on dripread

I came across an interesting project that had the same idea as dripread at
http://learningfeed.org/

Unfortunately it barley seems to have gotten off the ground, but it did give me the idea of making Open University lectures available on dripread.

In fact I think the dripread delivery mechanism of a bite size chunk off information in daily intervals is a good way to learn about a topic without having to make a concious effort to site down and study.

If it makes the difference between a student actually reading the material and them just meaning to read the material but not getting round to it, then dripreading would seems worthwhile.

Anyway, here's a first version of a short course I have adapted on Evolution via dripread.
